I’ve always enjoyed the wilderness and especially canoeing through pristine lakes and rivers – sometimes for a week and occasionally for longer. I recall always returning from those trips with both soul and spirit rejuvenated. For me it was a way of getting oneself rebalanced and in tune with those parts of life that truly matter. This painting is tinged with perhaps a bit of nostalgia but also an opportunity to recall experiences that will for all time be a part of who I am.
