Beehives in the orchard

I prefer this to your colour image...it has lights and darks which the other version does not. Try carrying your tonal contrasts over into your colour work.

A very lively sketch. It has loads of atmosphere.

Thank you or your kind comments - I often come adrift when adding colour to a sketch. I do however, prefer to start with a black and white version of an image to help with tonal values, and then do my own colours rather than trying to copy them from a photo.
