......I'll catch the swine.... Yes; watchful Moggie, in typical pose..... Can't help admiring them; unless you're a shrew, vole, mouse, etc..... Shut the little horrors indoors; too much of our native wildlife is disappearing down their gullets...

Actually Robert, I'm not a cat lover either, painted this for the cat's owner. I'm not altogether happy with the painting though, I feel there is not enough difference in tonal values, especially around the head. It is more evident in the original of this photo, and I don't know how to put it right without spoiling the painting.

Like the pose! you could possibly try darkening the flowerpot to contrast more with the lighter tones of the cat's head. By the way I think you have portrayed the head very well.
