And you have caught it very well. I know this part of the world and I feel I am there when I look at your painting, the coarse grass scratching at my legs, the air freshening as the sun begins to lose its heat as it dips towards the horizon. Wonder fully atmospheric

The Maluti mountains are on the border of Lesotho and South Africa, growing up about a hundred miles to the west, in the dry, crystal-clear air these mountains, 9,000 feet in height, were a dim blue line on the horizon. I have used some artist licence in painting them. I love the huge, flat-topped buttresses
