This is really good Brian.

That’s good and so different, Brian

Thanks for your comments Stephen, David, Christine & Maureen. I'm reasonably happy with my grandson but feel the backdrops a little weak. It's still on the board so I could have a fiddle but then again, a little fiddle, could put the final nail in the coffin.

What a fab painting Brian, hats off to you

Well you certainly rose to the challenge of capturing this scene. A wonderful painting.

Thank you for your generous comments Heather, Martin & Tony.

You really nailed the feeling of height and perspective, Brian. Don’t fiddle! ( says she who always does….but I have an objective eye here 😁).

Super painting Brian, I love the lighting on your grandson. The background is unimportant here and you’ve kept it that way

Don’t change a think , you have your grandson as the focal point, the distance landscape is fine and it lets the viewer build the story your tell . PUT THAT BRUSH DOWN NOW .

Very effective just as it is - don’t think it needs any more done to it.

Beautifully controlled watercolour Brian.

Thanks for your comments Marjorie & I know exactly what you mean I’ll sit on my hands. Thank you Russell. Of course you’re right Frank if I fiddle with the background it will detract from the main subject. Cheers Paul I’ve put the brush down & I’m sat on my hands. Thanks Jenny I’m getting good advice & taking it. Thank you John.

I agree totally with Paul - don't change those amazing contrasts

Thank you Jo, much appreciated.
