A Favourite Winter Tree

Oooo really like this its a cracker!!!

Just realized its Thurcroft, Is it Thurcroft South Yorkshire, we used to live at Whiston.

Wonderful, what more can I say, stands out in the gallery.

This is so good and beautifully painted, not a lot of paint but big effective use of it.

A touch of the Ashley Jackson hidining in this.

Thanks for your comments Linda. It certainly is in Thurcroft South Yorkshire, nowt bur'a stones throw from Whiston. It's from an old photo that would probably include the wind farm adjacent to the M1 if taken these days.

Super work Brian, love those clouds!

Thank you for your encouraging comments Heather and Paul. Frank, you are an old flatterer, but I like it.

Super watercolour, Brian receding nicely into the weather.

Super `L` shaped composition that works well Brian. Good tones and i like the limited colour scheme. Like your gallery too. Sooooo many likes there!!!!

Wow, positive comments indeed. Yes Tessa, I think that's the best English sky I've achieved to date. It's meant to be winter but these days it could easily fit into any of the seasons and, as Willie says, it does seem to seep into the picture. I managed to limit myself to a palette of four colours David & I think I like it. I must bear it in mind for the future.

I love everything about this painting

Cracking watercolour, as Wallace might put it!

Superb watercolour with fantastic washes. Love the atmosphere, palette oh I could go on and on but this is something very special you have achieved Brian.

Thanks for your comments Hilary, Stephen & Carole.

Linda is spot on. This is a 'cracker'! It really catches the eye. Regards John
