Nice rock work and colors Brian, I know the area well spent many years in the Lakes climbing and walking plus leading groups, I have never heard this feature called that before so that is interesting, nice one.

Thank you Malcolm. They say Helm Crag gets its name from how it looks from various differing viewpoints. I'm not sure my eye is sufficiently artistic to put the shape to the name in all the cases.

Taken from an old photograph as we were descending into Grasmere whilst walking Wainwrights Coast to Coast Path. Alternatively known by other names such as "The Howitzer", "The Lion & the Lamb" or more commonly as "Helm Crag"
