That's marvelous, Jim. One of your best. Abstract yet not abstract all at the same time. Fascinating painting.

You do great horses Jim, very colourful.

Striking style, one of those thumbnails that you have to click on.

Nicely done and full of character and interest Jim.

doffed yet again Jim , I like the conception and the execution - and the imagination behind it.

Thanks all for the kind comments. I've actually been three times to the spot near Granada Spain where reputedly Boabdil, the then ruler of the region, sighed and shed a tear ( there's a restaurant there now called Supsiro del Moro, "Sigh of the Moor") as he surrendered his beloved city to the Catholic monarchs Fedinand and Isabella in the same year ( 1492) Christopher Columbus set out on his monumental sea journey to reach America, thus ending 800 years of Moorish occupation in Spain. Granada is a fantastic place and the Alhambra Palace is so magical it has to be seen to be believed.

Oh Great! So much atmosphere in this!
