Thanks all for the comments. My dad was one of the world's most unusual Irishmen. He didn't drink, not a drop. I never did know why. He had seven brothers and two sisters who didn't seem to share his views. A Regular Army soldier and a fine sportsman, he did raise a glass at my wedding.....with a Babycham...I drink very sparingly myself these days it must be said, though twas not always thus..(-:
