Hope this did t he trick and cooled you down Jim.

Snow, snow quick, quick snow! Feeling cooler now Jim?

Fiona, Margaret, yes indeed. A nice ice0cold Estrella and a salad tea. All good now. (-:

I'd love to watch you painting your pictures and see how you get those movement brush strokes

Cool! Jim.. nice brushwork.

Thanks Diana and Lesley. Diana, a lot of the time in stuff like this I use just one brush in the main. It's about a no 12 in size and shaved away to just a few hairs at the tip. This gives the choice of side strokes of varying strength from the thick part to a point that's almost better than most riggers, thus it's shape is like a teardrop. I rescued it years ago before I retired. Our company had an art department at one time and it would have been thrown away. The rest is confidence. Hope this helps.

Love this Jim it has a certain spontaneous feel about it

I can sympathise with you Jim. I used to drag my partner with me to shop who tried out just about every chair and seating area in the shops while waiting for me to come to a conclusion. Your snowy pictures are very cooling in this heat. Nice blending but not over blending of the sky. Also the scale of the figure is very believable. It's hard to get the proportions right at times, but you always do.

Thanks Dennis, Dennis, Ibolya and Seok for the good comments. "Spontaneous" is a good description of how I try to paint Dennis.(-:
