Today, can we even imagine the reality of travelling in that fashion? It happened, just like doing everything after dark by candle light and light from the fire did. Despite all the hardships I might just wish I'd experienced it. Weird, nah, not me.....(-:

It would be quite an adventure to see how long you could manage in times such as this Jim, especially after having experience of all the comforts we have today! It certainly looks cold.

Being an ardent Jane Austen fan Fiona, ( I love classic literature) I almost feel comfortable with that era. I have drawn and painted almost all the major scenes from Pride and Prejudice. I'll probably post a couple later....

Love the snow (to look at on paper, hopefully not yet though for real!) Very uncomfortable ride I would think. Good painting Jim.

That's a bit spooky Carole. When I first saved the pic to my pc I titled it " A most uncomfortable ride"...eeek..!

Me too Jim! I have Pride and Prejudice days in the winter......you know when it's raining and howling, the wood stove is lit, pop the first DVD on and watch the first three hours before lunch. Then catch up with the next three hours afterwards.....perfect! I think I know most of the script by now...lol
