Ploughman's Lunch by Jim Morris

One of my favourite lunches!

It made you hungry Jim, so the painting hit the spot. A favorite snack with me, too...what it is seems to very quite a lot depending on where you go. (This prompted me to look up what the original ploughman's lunch was...it's first mentioned in the twelfth century, and was a lump of cheese, a hunk of bread, and a beer. Beer because they didn't trust water. All the pickles, salads and other oddments have been added along the way. So the humble ploughman's lunch has been going for 800 years.)

Thanks Heather, Paul and Lew. Today, they just bung the lot on a baguette and call it a sub..(-:
