I'd imagine them arguing Jim, they have a really raucous 'caw'. An abiding memory I have is of two of them fiercely and loudly 'cawing' at a cat, until it slunk off out of harms way.

My favourite birds Jim. They are otherworldly I think, as are the others of the corvid group. Love your painting, they look as though they are discussing something wicked!

One for sorrow ,two for joy . I usually have at least a dozen on the front lawn so don't know if the rhyme stretches that far. These two are very joyful..
