I like this Jim , it’s really well painted.

Very well done, and a fascinating subject. Would it have been fancy...or a simple wooden cup? I guess we'll never know.

I think this topic came up way back Lew and for me a carpenter's drinking pots would most likely be pottery or base metal, pewter etc, or as you say, even wood rather than the gold or silver of Galahad's vision where the Grail was a silver platter not a cup. The legend insists a cup. Will we ever know? Like you, the topic fascinates me.
