I wouldn't have got it, I don't know the song. I like your painting with its vignetted woodland background.

Jim, I guessed it so quickly because it represents the words and music perfectly.....it feels like the song, if that makes sense.

I love that song. I sang it in a music festival once. I’m not sure which version I like best. They all have their own merits. Did the Fureys do a version? I really love your illustration too

Thanks all for the comments. The Fureys probably did this Diana, it's so very Irish folk. I heard Van Morrison and The Chieftains version a couple of years ago. Great stuff.
