Not actually from choice, electricity hadn't arrived yet and all the assemblies/balls/dances were conducted where possible on full moon nights to help make things brighter. Large mirrors and bags of candles were the norm back in the eighteenth and nineteenth century. . Anyway, a line and wash sketch of it all...(-:
