Like this Jim. You paint loosely, but this still looks so right, as do all the smaller craft around it.

Thanks Maureen and Lewis for the kind words. I've been working at the loose/impressionist style for a while. Not got there yet but it's improving.

Sea battles among sailing ships are things of history now (thankfully) , but once were an undeniable reality and, like all war, a monstrous waste of human life. They have to be remembered in tribute to the multi thousands of fallen who perished defending our country. Watercolour impression.
