Yes, he's worked well. Rather a smart looking heron and the movement's in his tail feathers. ( 'shake your tail feathers'..wasn't that a song?) :)

Excellent drawing, Jim.

This certainly is full of movement, Jim. Fits the challenge perfectly and great drawing.

Jim, that is beautiful! So elegant.

Ha ha! Snap. Nice one Jim.

Just listening to Swan lake on desert island disc ..this just moves with it...I know ,I know it’s a Heron but it still sways with the music.

Definitely fits the bill Jim, love it 😀

So agree with your comment about photographic art! This is Essence of Heron, not quite, but reminiscent of Chinese brush painting. Looks like it was done at speed, catching the heron in take-off so to speak, with what could well be the last goldfish from my own pond

Thanks all for the positive comments. "Shake your tail feathers" occurred in the film Strictly Ballroom Louise... Cranes, Storks and Herons all appear in oriental art Fiona.

Thought I put a comment earlier but can’t see it. Just wanted to say I like the natural flow of the heron . Absolutely nothing contrived about this elegant drawing Jim.

Really good drawing Jim.

Spontaneous and very very good.

Being a little lazy as this is from files, but it seems to fit the need and it's one that worked okay. Charcoal pencil drawing.
