This is a lovely cold painting Jim. You have really demonstrated the isolation of Rivington in winter.

Thanks Carolyn. Been a while since I went up there, quite a long time actually, (although I've been to Bolton's football ground oft enough) but I can see rivington Moor, the "tops" and Winter Hill mast from my house so I always know what it's like up there.

Thanks for the comment Stephen. In summer it can be truly gorgeous, but winter is a truly different tale. "Wuthering Heights", pah, a stroll in th park compared to Winter Hill..(-:

The weather forecast isn't very good. Rivington Pike can be a cold place, and Winter Hill is well named. Watercolour and charcoal pencil. The view is based on a Bolton News photograph.
