Thanks Bri and Linda. Two hours after I saw this scene it all went deathly quiet....then my wife saw the Halloween Hawk skulking in the trees. ......I think (hope) it went away empty handed, but this is one of the dangers of little birds feeding regularly. It can be a cruel world....

Vivid and accurate, a few lines and we know exactly what they are. This fine spell (down here, anyway), has produced a lot of activity in our garden birdlife....great to see it.

Jim you’ve captured the scene so well of hundreds of bird feeders all over the country. It’s a delight to watch their antics around the feeders. I do like how you have represented the fat balls.
