I missed it last night but may watch later. This is a beauty of a painting Jim, the water is brilliant.

I recorded that program as kept falling asleep! Lovely waterfall Jim, great painting.

Thanks Margaret and Carole. Way back, I lived a couple of years not far from Haworth and have visited the parsonage more than once. Lovely place in spring and summer but can be pretty grim in winter...I suppose you need to see it in winter when the rain blackens all the stone buildings to appreciate the sort of environ the Brontes' lived in.

It's so beautiful up there Jim you were lucky, but yes I bet pretty bleak in bad weather!

The Bronte sisters.....the finest literature ever written. I saw the programme, it was excellent. And this painting is a fitting tribute. The colours are beautiful.

Thank you Ellen. Yes, the Bronte's were great literature assets. I actually have a book I bought in a library clear-out sale (reprint of course) of the poems of Acton, Currer and Ellis Bell. I'm regarded as a bit of an odd ball in my tastes, a big rough bloke who paints and has Pride and Prejudice as a favourite book..(-:

...putting this up virtually framed because this very place was on T.V last night. B.B.C made a preiod film called To Walk Invisible, the story of the Bronte family actually made where they lived in and around Haworth. The waterfall was shown, although from a different angle and, it it's of interest the film will be on B.B.C player. I'd heartily recommend it.
