Like it Ann, love the hat, my hubby's got one of those and thinks it's brilliant in this weather! You have done a really good job on this, everuthing seems to be in the right place and good skin tone, you should have posted your original photo beside it!

perhaps you could do one of your husband! (or send me a photo and I could paint it). I am trying to decide who to paint next. I need a few more so that I can select the best ones for my small exhibition in May. I am aiming to paint at least one a week for a year!

It's at the Grant Bradley gallery in Bristol , during May. The gallery holds exhibitions every month , featuring all types of art. I have been offered a small section that is reserved for new artists. As yet I'm not sure what the main exhibition will be. I feel really pleased and scared! The worst thing that could happen would be for everyone to say ''what a load of rubbish ''. So I'm going to enjoy this opportunity as it might be the one and only! x
