Youre not a slave to nature valerie which is a good thing. You have your own vision and your pictures are very different to eachother. Ive never painted a floral picture and probably wont but i do love to see lovely paintings like this.

I have just finished this one from some flowers given to me. I very rarely paint flowers but I painted over a woodland scene that I found boring but I thought the background colours would be right for the flowers and hey presto saved another canvas.There was also a texture I had put on which added interest
