Picture for a commission … why else do we usually do animal pictures. Inventively working from the usual collection of unsuitable format, low quality blurry snaps given to you by the doting owner … ‘oooh I love this one where she’s hiding under the bush’ when all you can see is a silhouette. Then the added pressure that its a portrait and has to look exactly like the subject, or the maximum response will be ‘that’s nice’. Just like a stick or a ball I never get tired of fetching it so it can be thrown again
