Thank you for your comment John, it’s much appreciated. I’d like to focus on landscapes and skies for a little while yet I think. Like my ink drawings I’m using a lot of layers but with alkyd in the oil, letting them dry overnight, wiping off and scraping them back and relayering them until I’m happy. I find “dauby” impressionistic impasto skies can look top heavy no matter how much pinky white you stick on top.
