Love the contrasts especially the dark foils to themain boat. Lovely, Justin

Love the bold lines and strong composition Justin.

I’m liking your boats Justin and the way you are painting them too. I get what you say about trying to get acrylics to act in a similar meaty manner to oils. I’ve just had a look at the other one I commented on, and to be honest, I think the oils have the advantage over acrylics...at the moment! It would be interesting, if you could be bothered, to do two small exercise pieces of the same subject, same palette to compare.

The only colour I used different on the acrylic picture was acrylic Hookers green it is more vivid but less warm than the Terre Vert (Earth Green) and Sap green which I use with the oils. So this may have had an effect. I was just trying to use the odd ends of tubes that build maybe I should just give them away. I do now have a Jacksons Chromium Green that I will use when i do another acrylic and I will also look for a sap green too.

Great stuff, Justin. Well deserved elevation to top line.
