Interesting to compare the two, such different effects from each other. I like them both…..the more I look I think I find more in this one, especially the stonework - detailed but not overly so.

Did a couple of sketches of the castle. This one in Fude pen and carbon ink to which I added watercolour later in the studio. I was pleased with the sketch as it was probably the most accurate plein air sketch of a building I’ve done. A3 on Canson wc paper cp
