Looks a fascinating place and I really like the close up. It reminds me of Waylands Smithy on the ancient Ridgeway which is prehistoric. I love the floppy ferns guarding the entrance.

Mysterious and curious place and what a great sketch

I love these intimate views, looking through the eyes of the painter as it were. The marks and shading on the stone plus the ferns, stand out for me, but the feeling of mystery you’ve captured is great. If you can write in whispers, I’m doing it, shh….🤫

But did you go in…? It asks questions and demands answers….

omg you're sending us back in time. A haunting, beautiful watercolor.

Really appreciate your responses. Thank you. Glad you can sense something of the place. There were some runes on the tall uprights and candle stubs in the temple so someone is using the place. I sensed oneness with nature rather than anything sinister

A great sketch and painting looking inside the Druids temple.

My second sketch from a visit to the Temple. Looking through a stone arch, past the large altar and into the darkness of the cave-like temple itself. Pen and ink on A5 Clairefontaine mixed media pad. Added watercolour later
