Teresa, I use soft pastel for most of the work. Sharp egdes and some detail in pastel pencil or harder pastel. I have a tutorial on my website if it is any help? http://trevorosborneartist.co.uk/

Another study of light through translucent material. The ball and the tee shirt are an opportunity to play with colour and light. Strong sunlight here and another child in a moment of magic.
