Eilean donan castle- loose sketch
Loose watercolour sketch of one of Scotlands finest castles. This was done in a 300gms Bockingford watercolour pad using Rembrandt paints and using the one brush. There was no initial sketching just laying down a sky wash which was taken down into the water. this was follwowed by the background mountains and then the foreground castle. Finally the shadow washes were added along with the foreground water debris etc.
About the Artist
Robert Furniss
Self taught artist. Passion for watercolour landscapes. Currently enjoying playing with one line blind sketches with watercolour added loosely after. However due to life's pressures my hobby is taking a low priority but I hope to rectify this in the not too distant future.
