I'm certainly enjoying your interpretation. Love the looseness, colours, shaft of light coming through, everything really.

Thanks for your comments Val and I'm pleased you liked my interpretation. I painted this last September which helped me with the colours. Sadly though I've done little or no painting since. Have you read my Blog "Mothballed". I'm hoping to rekindle my love of watercolours and comments like this can only help to inspire me. Thanks once again

Nice eyecatching painting. Really like the loose style and use of colour.

John, I'm really pleased you like the style and use of colour. I try to paint in a style which lets the viewer become part of the picture making process, not to much detail but mearly a suggestion, which I prefer. Nice to get your feedback.

I just came here from your blog and have to say I love the two landscapes you have on there. They are just beautiful. The ones in this portfolio seem a completely different style, much looser but equally as nice.

Another lovely piece, so fresh and loose! Bravo!

Autumnal Tints captured in Tongas National Park -Alaska. Watercolour using Rembrandt Watercolour paints on 140lb Saunders Waterford Not presssed paper. This was painted from an original watercolur and pen sketc from a boat in July 2005 which was backed up by a digital photograph. Although it was a rainy day I decided for this painting to give an autumn feel and add a shaft of light through breaking clouds. I hope you enjoy my interpretation.
