Oh, that's very pretty. love the way you have given it such depth just by varying the tones.

I've a feeling we all ought to do more of these studies in tone - not only because they can be very satisfying works in their own right, as is this one, but because they teach so much about values: of which I need to remind myself, certainly, now and then.

Oooooo this is lovely Robert, tones are beautiful, I especially like the strength of the foreground grasses.

Thank you taking the time to comment. These exercise are really good especially for the beginner as it gives them a good understanding about tonal depth and how to create recession within a painting.
