Wow, Robert, this is wonderful. Beautiful scenery, composition and colours. Well done!

Super 30 minute painting Robert. Love the palette.

Love the beautifully clear washes and palette. Super 30 minute piece.

Beautiful painting Robert, love the colours and composition.

An accomplished watercolour and even more remarkable for being completed in 30 mins.

At first I thought this was somewhere in Japan - it has that elegance of colour and shape which is reminiscent of some Japanese landscapes, and a real feel oif delicacy. It's really beautiful and done in 30 mins makes it even better!

Lovely sensitive watercolour.

Thank you all for your lovely comments. i really enjoyed the challenge but now I'm thinking of trying another but in less time. Keep pushing the boundaries as they say.

As titled a quick 30 min challenge where I used only primary colours and just two brushes (outdoor rectractable). It was quite a challenge especially working on unstreched paper which I didnt even tape down. I started with a quick sky and foreground wash reflecting the sky where possible followed with the distant mountains and nearside tree line. Completed by putting in the foreground trees just in time. This was taken from one of my on site watercolour sketches of Tofino which is on the pacific coast of Vancouver Island. This was the view from our hot tub at Mears Retreat. A great place and it brings back great memories of a truly wonderful holiday in British Columbia.
