Hi Tracy, this is really nice for a first attempt at a seascape, I love painting waves (in oils, never done pastels) so most of my paintings are of the sea etc. Might I make just one minor suggestion? Could you make the horizon level, seems to be dropping away a little at the left side. Well done

Well done for a first try in pastel. I find waves very difficult. Not sure if the small one on the left isn't a bit too pointy, it doesn't feel quite right but the rest is lovely and the colours are wonderful. Nice broken reflection of the hazy sun and those mauves under the waves are lovely.
