Thank you for your kind comments, i used soft pastels on velour it was quite tricky first time i have tried doing trees and bushes with pastel on velour. I'm quite pleased! i think??

Hello Tracy - I really like your treatment of the trees in this one a very nice landscape! PS. I would like to thank you for your very kind comments on my work. They are very much appreciated. As to my favourite medium. I would say oil (I hate the drying time though) but when I am working in acrylic and get such beautiful transparency I love them! At present I have just finished a couple of Otters in pastel (I see you have painted Otters in pastel) and I am in the middle of a Seascape in pastel which I must admit I am thoroughly enjoying. The more landscapes you try the better they get. Also, it's all those tips and techniques that we as artists stumble upon along the way. Looking at different techniques on POL is great we can learn so much. Very best wishes Jeannette x
