Dare I suggest your proportions here are not quite accurate? Lovely, lovely handling again, such a gleaming coat and beautiful eyes. Perhaps the stop, between eyes and nose could be more gradual, I think you have his muzzle rather too sharply foreshortened.. But I could not do as well as you, so for what it's worth, that's all I can say, and hope it helps.

Agree with Ruth about the stop (she's obviously an experienced dog person) although I can see from the other one that his muzzle does curve up a bit. I also feel the neck in this one is a bit narrow. I do like the colours in this but I think on the whole the other one is better; much gentler expression and more balanced proportions. He looks quite cross in this one.

Tracy...just looking again. Do you think you have made the top of the muzzle has a tad too cylindrical shaped curve ? I have a feeling that you could have another look at your tones here, but it's very difficult to put your finger on it. Feel free to ignore this if you think it is not helpful.

You have a lovely technique - but I agree about the proportions. I think the space between his right eye and top of his nose is too big - they should be on more of a level. Take him walkies and cheer him up!

it was a diffuclt one as the neck was not in the photo, it was just the head but i particualy liked the pose, although difficlut, also i don't normaly like full on faces as it does make the noses look strange if not careful, he was waiting for food in the picture there was saliva dripping from his lip, yummy, so i left it out, perhaps i should have left it in? thanks again though for all your comments it really helps.
