Countless hours and endless patience..... proves you can work on watercolour for a protracted period without turning it muddy.

This is amazing, such detail, wonderful colours too. I'm not surprised it took you so long. What size is it?

It was worth all the hard work you have obviously put it - you have created a lovely painting.

Hi Toulla, thei is my style of work, absolutely great, I keep saying that I should loosen up, but when I see this type of work, I automatically get draw to it, love to see more of your work.

Would like to thank you all for your lovely comments. I agree Robert, you can work on watercolours over time without making it turn to mud. Watercolour is so versatile and it's perfect for detail. Peter Nelson, I've also thought like you about trying to loosen it up, but I've got over that now and feel that the majority of watercolour painters and those who teach watercolour work in a loose style, so it's always nice to be different. Paint how you feel not how people think a medium should be used. Once again thank you all.

What a lovely painting :-) such detail, it is like a photograph , so clear and clean :-)

Lovely work of art Toulla, as already said amazing detail and use of colour. Very well done you. Regards Chris

Very impressive painting! Your efforts paid off.

Wonderfully detail and super use of that dreaded colour - green! I do like the sweeping vista and your rendition of this scene really makes the most of this.

Visited Bradford on Avon couple of years ago and returned there in May this year. While in a tearoom, the waitress recommended a visit to these cottages. The walk was steep to the cottages on Tory and Middle Rank, but so worth the effort to get there. What an amazing view. I took several photos to work from in the studio and tried to get in as much detail as possible. It took countless hours to complete over about 10 weeks. It's size 72 x 52 cm painted on 600gm waterford paper.
