I spent about 20 minutes just watching the sea, following the movement of the water, the colours etc before starting an information sketch. The final painting was completed in the studio. I want to paint this again as there are some areas which I do not feel have worked as well as they might. This was really my first attempt at a seascape of this kind - still a lot to get right!
