Thank you, Michael for another generous comment. My dilemma, when taking my painting groups to Borrowdale, was always do I want paint or do I want to climb! Unfortunately, most of my students - if asked - would have opted for staying at ground level so it was not until I did my two back-to-back trips to Nepal in 2000/1 that I really experienced high altitudes. It's another world up there, isn't it. Tony

This lovely old house was the base for my painting courses in Cumbria and we were very well fed and looked after during our many visits. Seatoller is a hamlet at the foot of the Honister Pass and head of the Borrowdale valley. It is an artist's paradise.
