This is somewhat different to recent submissions. Derived from one of my photos take over forty years ago. The scene is of an open vista whose stark beauty has been sullied by the detritus of conflict. Only in the distance, where the eye cannot perceive detail, can the bleakness and purity of the landscape be appreciated. In acrylic on unstretched canvas using all manner of brushes and repurposed items.
