The residue from some railway bridge repair work. A pile of red earth dumped there two years ago is becoming a natural feature of the landscape. In a few years it will be covered in vegetation.It struck me that it seemed to have acquired some sort of a sunlit crown. An impression worked up partly from my photo, but mainly from inside my head.
