This is a lot nearer to home than more recent subjects. On the river bank, my attention was grabbed by the sparkling sunlight on the water contrasting with the deep shadows and dead leaves on a broken branch trailing on the surface of the water Using my photo as a guide I created this particular scene largely out of my head. Used a variety of techniques, splattering and flicking using a variety of brushes, from an old toothbrush to a cheap, coarse decorators brush. On stretched canvas.
