Spontaneous and rather diferent to my last few submissions. Could say rough and ready, but the scene somehow needed to be recorded in this way. It was executed in a very short time, almost explosively, I felt that a tight rendition of each rock and each blade of the grass just would not have done this justice. I wanted to somehow convey a sense of what passed in this place a few months before. In Acrylic, mainly, over a charcoal sketch on stretched canvas
