Simple but very beautiful watercolour. I especially like the hedge to the far right as I think you've managed to paint in a luminous shadow (which I find difficult to achieve)

Bluebells is a lovely cafe near Marsworth (Tring) on the Gran union Canal. As I live close by its easy to get out on the tow path and either sketch or photograph what is going on. As the boat was on the move a photo captured the moment before it entered the lock
