This image was inspired by the song The Dancer from Leo Sayers album Silverbird. I learnt to play and sing this song many years ago and have wanted to paint something based on it for a long time. Anyone of a certain age group will remember when Leo burst onto the music scene dressed a as clown, the songs on this album still sound good today. The first line of the Dancer is, "Jennette was a dancer, I suppose I knew her well, he feet danced miracles I was deep within her spell" Photo shop proved useful to put this image together.
