Ice Cap by Tim Seabury
This is the final painting in my Encaustic wax series for the time being due to excessive temperatures [31c] when these were being produced in Cyprus.... they didn't want to set!! This painting was inspired by seeing a photo of a young lady painting pastels on a massive scale and I was challenged by a good friend to see if I could get anywhere near the same sort of effect using Encaustic waxes. I was VERY happy with the outcome!! UK temperatures should see more experiments and possibly an introduction of fabrics [already started to try acrylic paint on top] as an alternative extra dimension!! Thanks for looking!
