Looks really great Tim. I have done some encaustic work but never on kitchen foil and it sounds interesting. Do you still use the little iron to do these or some other tools?

Hi Satu. Sorry for the delay in replying! I use the designed and available encaustic iron that is about the size of a travel iron [I wouldn't be allowed to try the full size iron used for other things!!] I have tried the smaller iron head that screws into a smaller device as well as the nib like appllcator. The small iron is not easy to use though to achieve the effects that I would like. However using the larger iron I had never realised how many different effects are possible!! This is proving to be challenging but very interesting... large learning curve. Just about to put a few more encaustic pieces on line. Many thanks.

The third proper development/experimental encaustic wax piece attempted. Proving to be much harder than envisaged BUT very rewarding! This was done on kitchen foil as an experiment rather than paper.
