A great painting, I love the colours and the light, but you look rather cross which puts a bit of a downer on it for me , : )

Wow - these are brilliant portaits Thea. Quite quirky too (I mean that in a good way :).

A very intelligent bit of painting; doesn't bother me if you look cross - anyway, I think you look thoughtful, concentrated, PERHAPS a little fierce... but it all adds to the interest.

Some cracking portraits here. Do you work from life or photos? How long do you spend on a painting?

I forgot to add - have you ever tried to enter the portrait exhibtion at the NPG?

I always get a shock when I see my name appear and know it isn't me - do you feel that having an unusual name? Great self-portrait which I expect are very hard to do - I have only done a pencil one. You do look very intense in it but as Robert says, it adds to the intrigue.

Thank you all for your comments. Yes, I know I have the fierce look and I did not think I could convey all the feelings I was thinking at the time but from your comments I think I have managed to do this quite well. If the truth be known I rarely feel this angry but I thought this would make an interesting painting. Stuart, Yes I entered the NPG BP last year and the painting of my daughter was selected. I have tried again this year (not this one) but I'm not holding my breath. Hi Thea, I find it strange when seeing our name appear as it only happens once in a while. I like it though, and have always liked the name. Thank you so much for your comments x

What a beautiful and great portfolio, all the paintings are stunning!

Agree with all of above
