A lovely sentiment that translated into a wonderful piece. Love the contrast of the organic detailed foreground with the architectural shape of the ship.

A dear friend recently visited UK, but was unable to get to see the Cutty Sark, so I painted it for her instead, from a beautiful, ethereal photo taken by a friend, with his kind permission. It was great to paint something very different, in mixed media!
