I really enjoyed the challenge of getting the detail, especially the crossing shadow effect of these water irises. Painted from photos and sketches made in Norfolk, this is quite small, just 8x12ins, but fascinating to paint, not alla prima, as I needed the layers to dry.Nice to paint with a different, 'English' palette for a change!
